Crazy Larry
Stuff a small soft sponge ball (like a nerf ball) or another sock into a large tube sock. Tie as many additional tube socks or a soft rope to the tube sock as needed to create a long rope with “Crazy Larry” head at the end.
Have campers line up in a large circle with space to jump, duck, crouch, etc.
The leader (can be counselor or mature camper) spins with Crazy Larry extended, attempting to hit the campers. The campers duck, jump, or whatever (just can’t run out of circle) to avoid the spinning Larry. If a camper is hit, they are out. Last camper left becomes next spinner.
This game has also been played with a rope and ball, like a tether ball, but it tends to be a lot safer and softer with the tube sock version. Great way to recycle old socks too (after a final washing).
